Haiti Suffers from Earthquake
See below for a list of relief items being collected
On January 12, 2010 Haiti was devastated by an earthquake. The poorest
country in the Western hemisphere needs our help to provide food, shelter,
medical supplies and most of all they need to be told about our Lord, Jesus Christ
for their salvation.
The Croton Church of Christ is working with two established missions in Haiti.
Both provide schools, clinics, and Churches for the people.
To make Christ known
throughout the world,
(local, national, and
international) to reach
the lost.
To accomplish this
purpose we will:
1. Love the unlovable.
2. Witness to others.
3. Send others where
we cannot go.
4. Prayerfully support
the Croton Church of
Christ missionary
efforts.
5. Financially support
the Croton Church of
Christ missionary
efforts.
6. Help those in need
with material things.

Lifeline Christian Mission operates mainly in Grand Gauve,
a town west of Port-au-Prince. They also operate in other
earthquake stricken towns. Grand Gauve was badly
damaged but the mission was able to remain open
providing a place of somewhat safety for about 1,000 local
people that lost their homes. They have been involved in
feeding and providing medical care for the local people.
They have also been having church services daily.
Haitian Christian Outreach operates in Port-au-Prince,
Jacmel and Peredo. The school and church in
Port-au-Prince were not badly damaged but the clinic lost
the third floor. The town of Jacmel was seriously damaged
but from reports Peredo was spared.
To assist in the relief effort, the Croton Church of Christ is collecting money that will
be divided between Lifeline and Haitian Christian Outreach. Make checks payable
to the Croton Church of Christ and write Haiti in the memo line. Also we are
collecting needed items to be delivered to Haiti through Lifeline.
