Bruce’s Blog
The first month of 2012 has now come and gone and now we are
beginning the month of February. Have you been letting go and
giving God your weaknesses? Have you been growing in your
relationship with the Lord? I hope and pray that your faith in 2012 is
fortified with truth and grace in our Lord Jesus Christ.
The teens have been studying what the Bible says about being a
Christian. What does it look like? How are we changed? Who is in
charge of our lives? There are basic doctrines that the Bible teaches
that Christians should know. There are many teachers and preachers
of the Bible in this world. It is up to the Croton Church of Christ to
prepare our youth and show them the truth in union.
The K – 5 have been studying the armor of God and creating their own
soldier. Our Sunday school staff pours out God’s love and puts a lot
of effort to help the children grow in their faith.
Also, in Children’s Church and Monday Night Live we have been
studying the life of Jesus. One thing I appreciate about children’s
church is the enthusiasm that all the children have during this time of
worship. They interact with the lesson and sing loudly for all to hear
during worship. Their hearts are eager to hear the word of God. It is
amazing to see each week how the children are learning more and
more about Jesus.
Our small groups are getting bigger and better and just down right
fantastic. If you have not joined a group or study then please do so
ASAP. Sunday night small group for the teens has just started
bursting at the seams. We are planning events, studying, hanging out
and just having fun. Relationships are being built and people are
seeing God meet them where they are. Anyone is welcomed to join us.
We have many opportunities here at the Croton Church of Christ to
meet new people and grow in our relationships with God and each
other. Faith is a journey that none of us should travel alone. God is
here waiting for you to answer the call to follow. Give Him a chance
and see what He will do with your life.
